Onkel Karls Hofgut Mayer-Mühle in Staufen

Was there in August, never again. Wanted to reserve a table in the shade and that would not be a problem, but then the table was in the middle of the sun and we were cheekily told not to queue up. The staff was rude, so never again.

Very pleasant atmosphere and attentive service. Meals at moderate prices. Absolutely to be recommended ... the naturally cloudy Pilsner in this wine region too. Of course, the entire range of wines and especially the regional dishes. You sit very nicely and can enjoy your stay in peace

The food is delicious and the prices are right too. However, there could be a little more vegetarian options.

Very nice ambience! Great rebuilt. In any case, it is a good start. Would be great if 2-3 vegetarian dishes were added to the menu. Still very meaty. ;-) Incidentally, it is great that the reviews are read and answered. That shows goodwill.

Dear Uncle Karl's team, I write a lot of reviews. These are often short and sweet. Today I want to change that and write a little more. I had the pork medalions with spaetzle. I have never eaten such delicious spaetzle. They were really great! Regarding the pork medalions, I have to say that they were fried too long. They were dry. You can do better. I would have a criticism / info / question about the menu. Why is there not a colorful logo on the first page, but only a colorless relief logo? You don't recognize that when you have the card in your hand! And now the question you can hopefully answer: Why is the man in the logo closed? Finally, I would like to say that I think your Uncle Karls is really good and have already recommended it to friends! If we are in Staufen again we will definitely come again!

Were here for the first time today and we really enjoyed it. The historic Hofgut was really restored and you feel very comfortable! Service and regional dishes complete the offer, we would be happy to come back :-)

It doesn't get any better! Great, very attentive service, first-class cuisine, wonderful atmosphere. We regret that our vacation has ended and that we cannot stop off more often. Keep it up!!!

From the banker to the innkeeper! Wow! Great location, with much heart and soul restored building! But: The entertainment is not going well. The guest has the impression that the menu is probably not extensively cooked. For example, no "big" wheat beer could be served ... The price / performance ratio still has air to the top. You can look forward to the further development!
